VIDEO: Protecting Coastal Environments in the Caribbean

On the island of Hispaniola, both Haiti and the Dominican Republic are trying to balance human development with sustainable coastal ecosystems. Mangroves are essential for healthy ecosystems, however, are declining rapidly. Counterpart International is supporting innovative programs in both countries to help conserve mangroves and the livelihoods of local communities.
